From Design to Dream Home

Demolition and New Build – East Cork

O’Gorman Homes were employed by the client to demolish an existing house and build a five bedroom detached energy efficient house in East Cork. The project included all landscaping and the construction of a Tubermore retaining wall to the rear of the property.

Refurbishment – Cork City

O’Gorman Homes were employed by the client to refurbish a 1960’s four bedroom detached house and construct a sunroom to the front as well as a new garage to the rear of the property in Cork City suburbs. O’Gorman Homes were brought on board to produce a proposal within the clients’ budget.

We developed a design that gave the client everything they wanted within their budget including a substantial sunroom to the front as well as gutting the existing house, insulating existing timber floors and dry-lining throughout to BER B Rated.

The final project converted a cramped cold house into a warm, bright and spacious modern home.

Refurbishment – Douglas

In this project the client wanted to transform a tired 1970’s semi-detached house in Douglas to a modern, energy efficient, spacious and bright living space. We helped alter the floor layout, provided suggestions on how to improve the functionality and enjoyment of the house and ensured the existing house met the same energy efficient standard as the new extension to the rear.

Extension – Carrigtwohill

Our client wished to build a sunroom to the rear of the property as well as a re-plan of the downstairs kitchen/dining room. Our design provided a new daylit sunoom opening onto a newly paved courtyard. O’Gorman Homes took care of every aspect of the project from initial sketches to hand over of keys on a completed project located in Carrigtwohill Cork.

Terraced Development – Crosshaven

The client already had planning permission to construct three semi-detached houses in Crosshaven as rental properties. The project involved demolition of three existing derelict cottages and the construction of three energy efficient homes. The project was completed on time, to the highest standard and within budget.

Refurbishment – Mallow

O’Gorman Homes were employed by the client to transform a 1970’s bungalow into a dormer bungalow and to ensure that the new build was constructed to the highest possible energy efficient standard. Again a main priority for the client was to ensure that the existing build performed to the same energy efficient standard as the new development. This project was a turnkey package that met with all our clients’ expectations.
